This bus stop is sick of being stereotyped and is trying to create a new image for bus stops everywhere.

Welcome to the north shore!

I have never seen water this clear before...

Closeup of tidal pool a little ways down the beach:

Further down the beach, looking west:

Back where we started... does it get any better than this?

"Please be nice to the turtles," say the signs. When they swim out to take a nap, a lady comes over and puts a red rope around their personal space so we don't accidentally invade it. These turtles are big... they looked almost too heavy to pick up if I tried.

This turtle is unfazed by the tourist paparazzi that has gathered all around him just off camera.

Well, so far I have checked off visiting the north shore, trying to surf, turtle watching, snorkeling, beach parties, and seeing the windward coast. Other than that it's just working and hanging out with my coworkers. I miss you all - talk to you soon!

This is more in response to your AIM profile. But also I am wondering what turtle soup taste like after looking at those pictures. You ask for social study teachers. But I say there are more important things. And I'm sure you realize there are lots of good things in hawaii that aren't over here in ohio, PA, etc. So it's all good, let bigones be gone. i'm not funny. i know. sorry
